5-3-10 Friday, how things can change, Dennis went to book into the park for another night & they were pretty booked out as there is a Ulysses’ Motor Biker’s National Rally in Albany all next week. It would have meant that we would have had to move sites. It was raining & cold so we decided to move on, not knowing where we would end up. We got on the road at 10.30 & headed to fill up with Fuel ($1.25) & Gas was (.83c) . We stopped for lunch at 1pm & then we wanted to see at Bremer Bay. We got there & booked into the Bremer Bay Tourist Park a Top Tourist Park & $27 a night with discount, for the night & set up really quickly & went for a walk around the park, it is really nice & shady, green grass everywhere, nice amenities & a great camp kitchen. They have a Pizza restaurant & café as well .We were talking to The owners Louise & Bruce very nice people , as this was the park we had applied for a job at, they have got someone , but they will keep us in mind. We saw a bush trail walk to the beach 1.6km, well we walked & we walked & the girls & I huffed & we puffed but we made it & the beach was magnificent. (but we forgot the camera) I am not walking back again to take a photo, we will take the car tomorrow. It has been freezing today , windy & about 18 deg. We will do some sight seeing tomorrow, there looks like there is heaps of nice beaches around here. We are actually in tracksuit pants & jumpers & had the heater on in the van. 6-3-10 Saturday Happy 39th Anniversary to us. The weather is overcast & drizzly, but warmer than yesterday, thank goodness (we are not used to this cold weather) We went sight seeing to see Bremer bay, what a great spot, I would say lots of people come here to fish. We stopped ay Fishery Beach Marina, a nice Boat Harbour, Short Beach, we thought there was a fishing competition on, but no , there must have been 20 people on the beach , most with 2 rods, amazing. We then went to Banky Beach, you could not get down to it, but was beautiful, we looked at it from a cliff. We then went to Little Boat Harbour, where there were more people fishing, the beaches around here have white sand & blue green water, absolutely beautiful. We then went to Blossom’s Beach, you could drive your 4 wheel drive on this beach & it was good for fishing & surfing. Then it was off to Native Dog Beach round the corner there was a beach there as wall as unreal rocks to climb over with the sea breaking over them. Also a small lookout was up the top that you could look out over the coastline. We then headed for Back Beach where there is an Abalone Farm & I had to get a photo as it was the beach we had walked to the other day & I had forgotten the camera. Off into town , we stopped at the Progressive Lookout, that looked out over Bremer Bay & Wellstead Estuary. We then went to Town Beach where you could swim, fish & 4 wheel drive on, we then went & had a look at the small town of Bremer Bay, which really only has a big general store & liquor store & a Petrol Station, a Hotel & not too much more. Seeing it was our anniversary Dennis took me to the Bremer Bay Resort Hotel for a great lunch. I had a seafood plate, not a frozen one heated up. Yummy, & Den had a Rack of Pork , Chicken, Coleslaw & wedge’s (double Yummy) & a few drinks. We rolled out of there & went back to the van for a sleep. We booked into the Park Café for a Pizza tea & went up about 6.30, talk about a great Pizza, we are not that keen on them, but this one was great, we both had sweets (naughty I know) & it was BYO so we had some wine & beer to top off a great day. There were a lot of Ulysses Bikers at Bremer Bay going to Albany for the meeting. Back at the van Den watched the footy & I went to bed.
