Moose DroolMoose DroolMoose Drool

Best name ever for a beer, and tastes good too.
I heard Tim get up, but I couldn't get myself out of bed. Then when I did get up to see Becky I just missed her drive out of the driveway, so I went back to bed.
We finally got up around nine after a good sleep on a very comfortable bed, and not long after Joel got up to cook us some excellent omelettes. Joel is staying at his parents house for the week, so he can hang out with us as much as possible. After talking some more, Joel had to get ready and go to work, but his brother Aaron was back from work by now, so he entertained us.
Aaron took us for a drive out to Pioneer, and then to the old neighbourhood where the road is sealed now. The house we lived in has been painted white, and looks smaller, while the trees in the front yard look bigger. We couldn't stick around for long as we had to pick Becky up from Independent where she teaches P.E.
At Pioneer they remembered Noely (don't know if that's good or bad!), and were excited to hear that he might be coming out later in the year. It is their 100th year apparently at the school. Sally Peterson and a lady whose name I didn't catch spoke fondly of the year Dad taught at Pioneer. Especially when he tried to introduce Friday night drinks and nibblies, which is common place in Australian schools, but forbidden in the US, so the drinks had to be relocated to our place. Another lady Darlene Kraft also remembers Noely, but she wasn't at school the day we were there.
Becky had to go back to school for a meeting, so after a quick hello and chat we were left to our own devices. We watched 'Meet Joe Black' which is one of my favourite movies, but Beck cried at the end. We are having a great time, but we definitely miss home as well, and the movie reminded Beck of this.
Tim arrived home soon after, and hasn't changed a bit. His generosity is still as strong as ever, having organised a hire car for us on Wednesday and Thursday at a cheaper rate through his company.
Dinner was fantastic. Home cooked lasagne with probably the best red wine I've ever tasted (from California, merlot, cheap - tick!). Tim regaled us with stories of his travels and acquired art, before he showed us his photos and music on his computer.
When Joel got home from work he brought some 'Moose Drool', which surely has to be the best name for a beer in the world, and it tastes good as well.
We started watching 'Tombstone', but the reception wasn't that great, so we called it a night. Joel has tomorrow off, and is going to take us out for the day.

C.mon Dan and Beck. We want to hear a bit more about your new life in England. I want to know how much golf equipment you intend to ship back to Australia through Beck's work. Enjoy each day. Alan and Cheryl
