we took a guided tour of this specialized hospital last week - it has been very busy lately with many turtles becoming "stunned" by the cold water
Still in Marathon - but trying to get out!

We've been here much longer than intended - six weeks tomorrow and the barnacles are getting bigger on the hull - we scraped them off the dinghy last week.

"Worst winter in 40 years" the regulars are saying as one cold front follows another then another. We need 2 good days to get back up the west coast - it was possible last weekend but we couldn't miss the gold medal hockey game! Fortunately it proved to be worth staying for.

At last count there were 39 boats anchored nearby waiting for a mooring ball - they send scouts in dinghies looking for vacated moorings - but no one is budging until the weather improves.

We have included photos from 2 memorable events that happened elsewhere since our last blog - Ian's Mum, JOY celebrated her 90th birthday in Sydney on February 13th and is pictured with the many cards she received - 15 from Canada alone.

And Patrick is pictured with his fiancee Claire on a ski trail near Banff! He popped the question just last weekend - Kim helped Pat pick out the beautiful ring.

March greetings
Thanks for keeping us posted on your adventures in the Keys. Didn't realize that the crazy cold was affecting you so far south in Florida. We just returned from our 12 day sailing trip in the Grenedines where we rendezvoued with Linda and Garry Graham on their boat July Indian. Their base these days is in Bequia - a beautiful spot among many. Greg and Leslie Mason chartered a Beneteau with us out of St. Vincent. Lots of great sailing and snorkling wherever we explored!! We forgot how hot it can be that far south and took a few days to climatize to that. Hope the weather improves for your boating plans and look forward to your next blog. Yola and Garry/ Liberte'
