Say good bye to Beijing was extremelly lucky. I booked a flight Beijing 2 Mumbai the celebration day of the 60´s anniversary of the communist party!! (people is not allowed to left home that day, they just celebrate at home watching the militar parade on the TV).
Anyway, arriving to Mumbai things inmediatly changed into chaos. Nobody respect a cue or apologise for step your foot. A colombian business man, inmediatly talked to me in Spanish. Latins here are less than a minority- he said. He kindly suggest me not be alone, pay for licensed taxis and be careful with personal belongings, but Mumbai should not be that tough for single woman travelling by her own. Definitly scary but useful.
Neetu was waiting for me in the airport, I could not wait any minute more to see her again after 2 months. Nothing after all, but she is still missed for more than one chilean heart.
Neetu prepared for me nice surprises, I didn´t know nothing about Maharashtra and talk with local friends was very nice and welcoming. Talk to friends about their lifestyle, family, career, it was GREAT!! Thank you Neetu for you and your friends!!!

places, real indian food, Elephantha´s trip and traffic jam everytime everyday.

Realmente fue una suerte decir adios Beijing el día que se cumplieron los 60 años del partido comunista y había toque de queda desde las 7 am hasta la noche. Mi vuelo salió a las 6 am y pude dejar el hotel a tiempo. Despedirme de los delfines y quedar media preocupada por uno que simplemente no apareció y desear que al menos no esté solo. Después me contaron que pasó, pero esa es otra historia. Varios se quedaron encerrados en el hotel viendo por televisión la parada militar y mirando por las ventanas los espectaculares despliegues de las fuerzas aéreas.
Pero esta es mi historia de Mumbai. Al llegar al aeropuerto, las cosas inmediatamente cambiaron. Aunque ya había estado en India hace 1 mes atrás, en Bangalore, el aire de viajar sola nuevamente tiene un sabor inquietante. Nuevamente al caos y las
masas. Nadie respetó ni una fila ni se disculpó por pisarte o empujarte. Un señor colombiano me divisó de inmediato y me dijo en español: "los latinos aquí somos menos que una minoría". Gentilmente me aconsejó no andar muy sola, siempre tomar taxis autorizados y cuidar mis pertenencias. Aunque admitió que Mumbai no es tan peligroso para una mujer que viaja sola en estos días. Qué miedo!! Pero consejos útiles al mirar atrás.
Neetu estaba esperandome en el aeropuerto, no podía esperar un minuto más de verla, y eso que solo fueron 2 meses, nada!..aunque ella es aún extrañada por más de un corazón chileno por ahí 😊
Neetu preparó para mi sorpresas super especiales, poder conversar taaanto estando en su tierra, en sus costumbres, con su familia, fue genial!
Compras, antiguas reliquias y cavernas, carretitos, comida india, de todo!! Thank you Neetu for you and your friends!!!
