We were up by 10.30am and collected supplies from local shops before heading off on the Tram to St Kilda beach. We chose a quiet spot and Steph introduced us to two of her friends, Brittany and Linda. After a few hours on the beach, we went round the shops in St Kilda which has a trendy Bo-Ho vibe, and had Pizza for lunch in a bar overlooking the busy street.
That evening, Steph poured us a glass of Passion Pop each while we got ready, then we went to 'The Ritz for Backpackers', a popular Guesthouse, to meet her girl friends. The living area was heaving with young chatty travellers, and drum and bass music pumped out of speakers in a nearby dorm. We crammed ourselves in to Linda's room, which was already filled with girls chatting, drinking wine and doing the finishing touches to their make up. Steph introduced us to more of her mates, and one in particular entertained us with funny stories and witty banter. Went to a place called Cushion which played Funky House and was packed wall to wall. Linda, the birthday girl, lost her purse at one point and understandably was too upset to
stay out much longer. She returned 20minutes later with a big smile on her face having found it on her bed at The Ritz - she'd never taken it out afterall. Drank JägerBomb shots and danced with Steph and Ellie until the early hours, before collecting an obligatory McDonalds on the way home. We've been doing far too much of this recently :-)
