This month has been a little slow in some regards - the students at ACSOP have been home on break; therefore there has not been as much activity at the school. However, there is plenty of work still to be done, and George has been trying to get caught up on record keeping, etc. that goes along with his job.
Over the past three months George and Joy have been going to the home of Immanuel and Joyce, where George has been teaching a Bible study for Joyce, the wife of Immanuel, one of the church members who attends at the Njiro congregation. On January 7 she made the decision to obey her Lord in baptism. She was a very happy woman. We attended their congregation the following Sunday, the 10th, to be with her and her husband Immanuel on her first Sunday as a Christian, and she had a big smile on her face all morning.George taught Bible class and Lee preached the sermon.
One of the side benefits of teaching Joyce is the fact that Immanuel has been able to translate the classes for his wife, and he has been learning along the way how better to
conduct personal Bible studies. George has been encouraging him to teach others, and we hope and pray that together, as husband and wife united in the Lord, Immanuel and Joyce will be great servants in the kingdom.
This past Saturday morning Lee and Julia accompanied George to the home of Immanuel and Joyce, to continue classes for Joyce. After they got home, we had a quick bite of lunch and then we all traveled about an hour to the home of Innocent and Hilda, who live in Monduli. Innocent, a graduate of ACSOP, is the preacher for the congregation in Monduli, and he had invited us on several occasions to come visit. Innocent and Hilda are very hard workers. Just that morning Innocent was teaching Bible studies. We enjoyed visiting in their home very much and hearing stories about their conversion and growth in the Lord. They are great assets to the church.
Today our morning started very early - up at 4:45 am and driving away at 6:30 to head to Babati. The morning was not without a little adventure. About an hour and a half into the trip we had a flat tire, so that caused
a little delay. The trip took about three and half hours, including an hour and half of rough gravel road. Lee taught Bible class and preached, and then afterward, we went to the preacher's home nearby to enjoy a soda before hitting the road for the long trip back home. We were gone almost 11 hours and we were all very road weary by the time we got home, but we hope that our visit was encouraging to these brethren who don't have visitors very often.

Good to hear of your good works and the joy you are bringing to the lost by teaching them the gospel. God bless each of you. Have safe week and be careful with your good selves on those roads. just ken
