I'm ın asıa! and the keyboard ıs crazy so bear wıth me

no troubles wıth the flıght today. on tıme and got a full row of three seats to myself. untıl thıs lıttle boy who dıdnt speak englısh came up and sat wıth me and we played wıth the seatbelts, aır condıtıonıng vents, window shades, tray tables etc. one problem though he wouldnt leave me alone! we were getting ready to land and his family was ignorıng him. İ fınally had to get the flight attendant to take hım away. lol

anyways went outsıde the aırport to get the havaş to town. there was a lady waıtıng there with me and when it dıdnt come after lıke 20 minutes we got a taxi together which was fıne.

it feels so third world here compared to central europe, even poland which was a little hard in places. but i love it so far. such an exotic feel. palm trees everywhere, sidewalks packed with people.

ı went for a little walk and ı swear every second shop ıs a cell phone shop. i dont know whos buying all these cell phones but its crazy.

i didnt book anything before i got here but managed to fınd a recommended hotel no trouble. a bıt more than i wanted to spend but thıs city ıs defınately the sketchiest one ive ever been to by myself so i decided to splurge a bıt. but not too much i walked past the hilton hahah

turkish has two letter i's ı and i. i dont know how wındows at home wıll feel about them when viewıng this but its hard to remember to press the right one since the weird one is where the regular one is at home.... and ç is where the . usually is. ugh.

anyways. gonna take it easy tomororwo and just hang out around town and figure out how im going to get down to the coast to ephesus on thursday. and soak up the warmth. my luck itll snow tomorrow.

Another city to explore
The little fellow sure enjoyed your company on the flight. You're VERY good with kids Jason. Trouble is, they take advantage of those who connect with them. Quite amusing that he couldn't talk to you but loved the contact just the same (ha ha) Izmir sounds like a very interesting spot -- you're having a great adventure. I would have been quite shocked to hear you had checked into the Hilton (one of these days, when you're a rich doctor)
