Have now arrived in the lovely, hot, humid Bangkok. Hotel is wonderful with superb view of the temple (Wat Arun) across the river and awesome air conditioner. Went to see Grand Palace today- residence of the Thai Royal family and home of the Emerald Buddha. Architecture is almost indescribable and we'll load pictures later for you to see. Also saw some of the Thai crown jewels and the golden ceremonial regalia that the Emerald Buddha wears depending on the season. The buddha is in wet season attire currently. Unfortunately, can't take pictures of the Emerald Buddha since it's considered sacrilegious. Enjoy the pictures from Singapore and arrival in Bangkok.
Gotta go to bed now. Up at 4AM to catch government bus to Cambodia border and then the border crossing from hell (as I've heard it called). Should be an adventure. Stay tuned.

Never watch the driver/s negotiate the traffic. It's a nail biter and painted lines are merely ignored.

Very nice hotel in little side street (soi) that taxi driver couldn't find even we me giving him a map which was in Thai. Staff came out to main road to get us.

Awesome Pics
Wow, sounds like you guys are having good fun now, compared to the Roller Coaster ride. Rick you are looking too happy (Octopus Balls). Your room is very pretty and the strategic bath design partition speaks for it self... Great Picture so far. Thanks

traffic lines
Traffic in Indonesia is a lot like Bangkok. Is it scary that that's where I learned to drive?

Singapore night
I went to your travel blog and saw many beautiful pictures from Sigapore and Thailand. How is food over there? Hopefully you will enjoy authentic food that you wouldn't find it back in US like octopus balls. Yummy. Enjoy, Karen
