I sought refuge from Cebu City on the opposite side of the island in a small coastal village that goes by the name of Moalboal. It was a very sleepy and laid back little place which just so happened to be right up my street after the exploits encountered in Cebu City.
The majority of the tourists here being divers, mostly Korean. Diving doesn't really appeal to me so I spent the majority of the time trekking about the area with the odd spot of swimming here and there. Unlike Cebuites the locals here are mostly friendly, greeting you as you walk by.
In the evening things would liven up a little at The Sand Bar where I would meet up with 3 fellow Englishmen and drink until I couldn't see very well. This was pretty much the story of my time in Moalboal before having to head back to that shithole Cebu City for one last night before heading to Boracay the so called jewel of the Philippines.
