The Class went to Florence and Siena this past weekend. Florence was a beaitiful city that was clean, quiet, and very pedestrian. It was amazing to see how little the streets were actually used for cars. You would see one every now and then, but mostly it was pedestrian, which was a nice switch from Rome. There was hardly any litter or graffiti. Beautiful. The architecture was very.....decorated. They seems to like ornimentation. Which is not my cup of tea. The food was excelent. We at lunch at the same place twice because of the fact that it was so amazing. It was a fried chicken stand. So good. And cheap. The dinners were very good as well. Emilio took the whole class to eat at a restraunt the first night there, I got the onion soup.....to die for.....and a Steak that was huge. The second night a bunch of us went out to eat and I ended up getting a steak that was larger that the first steak I had, and a vegtable soup with bread in it. They were both very delicious. The hotel we stayed in was very cofortable. Trey and I got our own room and had a private bathroom, poor thing. We started out on sunday morning for siena. It was a 2 hour charter bus right that was surprising comfortable since most of us had our own seat. It was very relaxing. Siena was beautiful and medieval. Some really cool spaces are in Siena and the one to take the cake was the Campo. The trip was very relaxing overall and we all had lots of laughs that were well needed after an intense week in studio.
