Here is a map of the 800kms I will be walking.
Ok ... I will confess ... I am both excited and scared concerning the trip I am about to embark on. I am excited to be travelling to Spain and Portugal, places I have never been. I am excited to be walking the Camino de Santiago through the beautiful countryside of Spain and experiencing the culture and attempting the little Spanish I learned the last few weeks. I am excited to meet new people from around the world and hear their stories and share in their pain and joy. And of course, I am very excited to see my friend Jorg from Germany who has decided to experience his own journey and also walk the Camino de Santiago.

So what are you scared about Jules you ask? Well, I am scared I am actually going to find what I am looking for. The ironic part of that statement is that I don’t have a clue what I am looking for. All I know is that I am off on a walkabout, with loads of love in my heart, to experience the Camino. That is it for my plan ... and that is scary. My whole life and career was about planning. Letting go and letting the universe be my guide scares me. But even though I am scared, I trust that it will be good.

So now that I have less than a week away, I think I am well prepared. I have completed my training and feel I am physically ready for this trip. I still have my regular aches and pains, but I have learned to live with them now. I am making peace with them, they are a part of me, and we will make it through.

Come join me, follow my blog and follow my journey.

With Love … Jules

Hello Julie I'm thrilled that you are walking the CDSDC. I'm leaving on the same trip 28 September from Montreal and I'm giving myself 2 months (return 1 December to Canada). I'm going alone starting at St Jean de Pied I'll be looking for your comments in the log books of the refuges and look forward to reading your blog.
