Hello from the Rooftop of the World...

Gunkumsan! That is hello, in Tibetan...we have just spent a week in Lhasa and have much to write about - especially some amazing pictures. Jennifer and I have just finished traveling on a train from Lhasa to Chengdu, about 50 hours, and we now have internet access. We are putting together some blogs in the hotel and then walking to the local Starbuck's a few blocks away.

We will be putting up some info tomorrow morning but until then wanted to say all is well, we enjoyed Lhasa and Mt. Everest, and Tibet!, so much...so much to write about...stay tuned!

Heading towards Lhasa...
This was the view on the hour long ride from the airport to Lhasa...the Tibetan area of Lhasa is very small now and has Chinese military guards on every corner armed with a grenade launcher, shotguns, etc. The rest of Lhasa is all newly developed China and looks just like every other city here...

Thanks for pausing and leaving a note. I can not stop myself from being nervous. I had no idea I cared so much about both of you and your safety. I look forward to your resting up and then blogging for all of us.
