We left Rotorua in a rather grey landscape, and travelled north along the coast up to Taronga, then a bit further north for lunch. After that we head across country up to Auckland and our next stop.
We arrived at the farm, and the Rachel and Simon promptly met up with two other children staying and got involved in feeding the animals. We had a huge supper after that which we didn't manage to eat all of, and then we watched the Rugby (Australia v. New Zealand) - we were supporting New Zealand, as otherwise it would be a grumpy day the next day for all concerned!
The next day after breakfast it was feeding time again, and then the other family left. That meant it was up to Simon and Rachel to help lead the horses along the road to a new feeding ground.
After they had had some new grass, they helped bring them back and we had lunch. After lunch it was time to try some riding. Rachel went first, while Simon minded a shetland pony letting her feed on some fresh grass. After a couple of circuits being led, Rachel was off on her own
and doing trotting.
The Simon had a go around the field a few times.
After that we went off to explore a nearby beach which was full of horse, land surfers, motorbikes and cars. It also had a lot of foam on the beach from the breakers.
when rachel was riding mikado the biggest horse out of them all i feed some grass to dutchess the dangerousest horse out of them all.Dutchess was the dangerousest horse out of them all because she kicked a lot especialy when you where behind her.
