Cusco cathedral.
Tried to get this photo while whizzing by in a taxi. Obviously, I did a terrible job.Terrible night sleep. Nearly froze to death, but happy to be heading for Lima today. Made it to the bus station and found a bus headed for Lima. It is a close to a 22 hour ride. Crazy long but need to be at the airport tomorrow for a flight home. No crazy bus stories except one. They make it very clear that when you ride the bus that has a toilet, you should only urinate. Well, early in the morning, one man chose to do some other business in the commode and it really stunk up the place. The people on board had a major uprising and the man was thrown every name in the book. I think they very nearly killed him. It was a terribly heated situation that finally died down. The poor stewardess had the nasty job of cleaning his mess. Anyway, we made it to Lima around 8 am and we went straight to the airport. Sat there all day waiting for our flight to leave in the evening. I am not well and cannot wait to get back home.

Hi there, I am been watching your trip with interest as a friend and myself just got back from a 16 day Peru adventure we organised ourselves. I can't believe the trouble you had along way, but it certainly made some interesting reading. I'm sorry the trip wasn't as you thought it would be, but you will look back on it and have a laugh. Our trip went very well with no hiccups and we did virtually everything you did, but we also added the Amazon. My travel blog is on here if you ever feel like reading it. Do a search for MJO.
