me and echo

the water was very cold and the ice cubes were very big

7 days with my son were non stop. from valdez to homer. sea kayaking at the columbia glacier, halibut fishing in the cook inlet, remote camping, talkeetna, denali, bear watching and flying near volcano's. way too many pics to fit on 1 blog. we took right at 1400 between us and i'm posting some of all of them. i hated taking keith back to the airport but he left some incredible memories with me. i nearly finished the bridge at mike's before heading over to the yukon for a week or two. dawson city music festival is next weekend and its time to run the yukon for a few days. i should have another blog in a week or so. so long from beautiful alaska

this good size black bear was spotted enroute to our camp at skilak lake

an active and an inactive volcano - part of the pacific rim of fire

all shapes and sizes

the columbia glacier - seven miles was as close as we could get for all the ice

i think the captain said this is a stellar seal

seen lots of moose but only this one with a calf.

keith got this young eagle taking off with a meal

echo has a girlfriend...kisha, one of apache mike's 2 dogs

keith got the biggest at 42 lbs....and the most with 15

landed a small plane on the beach and watched alot of these bears for a few hours

most had two cubs

apache mike gave echo this very large bone as we headed out of chitina

a very old russian church in ninilchik, it sat high on a bluff overlooking the cook inlet

i can't add anything to these next few.....

echo's enjoying it all as much as i am
