This is currently a place holder for KL pictures. I'll type up a journal entry soon. I wanted to get the pictures done first.

This is (or at least was) the tallest building in the world.

This was taken in the middle of the main park in KL. Quite a sight! These brave little guys had no worries about the road, or even the cars. Drivers would simply stop and wait.

These Singaporian transplants (L-R Niza and Wan - sorry if I butchered the spelling) were kind enough to show me around KL. Thanks again ladies!

John the Baptist

This was a homeless guy that I sat and chatted with for an hour or so. He gave me all kinds of travel advice, and talked about life in Malaysia for Christens (not very good, if you take everything he said at face value). At the end of our chat, I gave him 50 Ringit (~$12) and he actually started crying with gratitude. I don't know if the tears were genunie or not, but the effect that it had on me was. I felt very lucky to have been born into a much better situation.

This is a building-sized version of the Chinese saying for Happy New Year. With a camel to boot.

These guys waved me over and had an extended discussion about a multi-level marketing scheme that he wanted me to be a part of. Apparently the fact that I live in America wouldn't disrupt the logistics of the guy on the left being my "boss", and of him getting a fraction of my sales.

This happened a lot - I offer to take a picture of a group of tourists, they gladly accept, then each want to take a picture with me. I thought it would be fun to snap off a shot as well.

Sometimes you'd even have to eat with your hands. I lucked out and got a fork at this place...

oh my...
i swear on "me and the boss": ...that's a handsome look dude. i meant the one on the right in shades and sweaty tee. ha... on "John the baptist": what you did besides nearly reducing me to tears but also reminded me of a song. Can't remember which song is that except part of the lyrics talks about the street passing by a homeless guy. And... from what i know about christianity in malaysia, what the guy told you could probably be true. God definitely plant you there so that John could be bless with your generosity. you swweet... - amy aka bettyboo
