just a little notice, no big update

nothing huge to talk about. Just enjoying my last week of classes and hanging around the hostel with friends. I just want to let everyone know that on Monday I will be taking off for a 2 week trip through Berkina Faso and Mali and wont be updating so I dont want anyone to worry.

First my main reasons for going are 1. I really want to ride a camel in Timbuktu, how amazing would that be? and 2. my visa is about to expire so I have to leave the country and reenter to renew it. I am traveling with Max, Jessica, and Berkley. It will be a great group because Jessica and Berkley know French and both countries are French speaking so that is a major perk. And Max? well its just nice to travel with a guy sometimes.

We dont have a specific plan of what we are doing exactly just because we've learned that it wont work out that way anyways. We just have options of things we can do and whatever works out works out. Thats Africa for you.

"Plans" are that we are leaving Monday morning for a bus going straight to Berkina Faso border which will be a 24 hour drive.... I am hoping I can get some sleep on the bus and make time go by faster, but I may have to take a Benadril or something. Then we are going to work our way through Barkina and the Dogon (sp?) country and head up to Mali where we are going to spend most of our time. We have the option of traveling to several large cities, but the number one on the list is Timbuktu! After that its just traveling around where ever we can go and still get back by April 26th when Berkley has her first final.

Just wanted to let everyone know thats what I'll be doing for the next couple of weeks so don't worry about me!
