After cycling about 100km, I arrived in the town of Ban Pho. It looked quite big and I asked a few local where the nearest guesthouse/hotel was. A few drinks later (white whisky, similar to tequila) I said goodbye (sawa dee krap) and headed straight then right and then left or was it right ?

I was in a small street, about 6pm and desperately in need of a shower when a few people shouted in English "Hello", "Hi", "Come Here" and other various Thai sentences. I stopped the bike and got surrounded by a group of girls, two of them could say a few worlds of English and told me to share their meal. Then I realized that half of the girls where boys, well I mean ladyboys. They all wanted to take a picture with the farang 😊 Anyway, everyone was very nice and I even got to prepare a chili sauce using a mortar and pestle (first time :p). The sauce ended up very spicy but I think that after India and Bangkok, I cope better with hot food.

Since I started traveling, I ate various culinary specialties and I liked most of them. I have however found my current limit: I had trouble with chicken feet and chicken knees. Even with my fantastic sauce I didn't like it 😞

After dinner, they took me to some festival with live music, dancing. I understood it was a celebration for Buddha. As it was very crowded, we didn't stay too long and we ended up in a Karaoke. I was so bad at singing that everybody helped me. Mind you the only English songs were Titanic (my heart will go on) and "Imagine" 😊 Some of the girls had great voices and I liked the sound of the Thai songs. We had more food and drinks. Everybody in Ban Pho seems to drink the same thing: Whisky + soda water + ice. I spend a great evening, quite different from the previous one, spent fighting with 2 scorpions 😊

When going back to the hotel I found a night market with interesting items... 😊
