Our hostel was located at the side of Laguna Colarado so this was our first stop of the day. It was a red lagoon full of wild flamingos enjoying the warm season. We then pass through the Desierto de Siloli which is famous for its tree shaped rock formations in the middle of the desert and we all enjoy taking many pictures here.

Unfortunately the weather changed and we were unable to see the semi active volcano Ollague as it was covered in cloud, but we have seen many other ones along the way.

Tonight we stopped at a salt hotel, yes it was a hotel made of salt! All the walls were made out of salt bricks and all the furniture including the beds were also made out of salt. From the outside it looked a bit disappointing but it was great on the inside. The floor was like sand but salt and it was lovely and warm.

We had private rooms and enjoyed a shower as we had not had any facilities like this for a few days. A few rude continentals tried spoiling our evening by trying to steal our hot water, milk and being generally rude towards us. We try to ignore them and continue to teach Alberto how to play the card game Uno under candlelight.
