Hellooooooooo
This is just a quick entry to say we are safely in New Zealand!
Had a good couple of flights (long but fairly pain free) and arrived here Sunday morning having lost our saturday down a worm hole :-s
First impressions- the weather is beautiful, nice and warm and the sky is bright blue with very few clouds. Great views in every direction, wondered down to the harbour in Auckland today and the sea is satisfyingly clear. Our hostel is a big old colonial looking house on the side of Mount Eden (looks like a grassy hill, actually a volcano- which we plan to walk up next week!) Its a pretty white building set in a lovely garden.
Havent seen much of Auckland yet, we took it easy today as we adjusted to the time difference. We are going to get an early night as we are up early tomorrow to catch a bus up to the top of the north island. Its one of the 'Kiwi Experience' tickets so should include some activites- then we are back in the same hostel next sunday, then its farewell Auckland and we are driving south!
So thats a summary for now, let you know how we're getting along later
