Hello again!

Still in England I'm afraid - but exciting news: I GOT MY PASSPORT BACK THIS MORNING!!!!!! HOORAH!!!!! This means I will actually be flying on Sunday...as long as nothing else goes wrong! We also booked the coach that's gonna take me directly to Heathrow Terminal 5 (I was pretty torn between trains or a coach, but as neither me or Mum are particularly good at directions the door-to-door seemed like a better option). The only depressing thing is I don't fly until about 8pm but I will have to leave my house at like 11.

I've just finished applying for a bunch of funding this afternoon too so hopefully that'll come through before too long if I get it - it will be a big help! As well as writing about a billion thank you cards to all the people that have helped me with fundraising and donations. I'd like to use this space as well to say thank you SO much to anyone who has helped me organise, or even just attended my events, I really wouldn't be going without your help. In particular I'd like to thank Cheryl, Wayne and the youth council girls, Michael Rose, and Mum, Pete and Nanny. 😊

The goodbyes started yesterday with probably one of the most difficult. Let's just say I wasn't very successful at the whole "I won't cry until I'm on my own" theory! I hope you all know how much I'm going to miss you - especially the people closest to me; my family, Han, Hol and Na. I will think about you every day, but seven months really isn't that long and I'll be back before you know it (hopefully skinny, tanned and a bit more cultured than I was before!) I'm just sorry I'm missing so many landmark events! Have great birthdays and everything elses while I'm away - I'll do my best to send cards but bear in mind the postal service isn't the best!

I read something a little bit scary on the ol' FCO website this morning...I was just browsing the South Africa Crime section and noticed that almost every bulletpoint was about OR Tambo airport in Jo'Berg (the one I'm flying to BY MYSELF before anyone else arrives - EEK!). I abruptly emailed the Lattitude lady, but luckily she said the New Zealand lot will be arriving before me so I can hurry and find them to feel safe!

Ooh, if you want to be emailed every time I update this (poor you), then just click on subscribe and enter your email address! I think most of you can cope with that (though I will have to sit down with Mum and let her write down a step-by-step guide. Never been one for technology that woman - hehe).

So yeah - THREE DAYS TO GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

just practising....
Was thinking this was easy and I don't need my step-by-step guide when I did something that wiped everything off the screen....so maybe I do after all! Love you (even though you're deserting me for 7 months) xxxxx
