Bus crash
Given the lack ofroad rules we are not sure who was at fault here....but we were the bigger bus We ended up crashing out early in Jaipur so I guess we didn't see that much...Thismorning was an early start to get the 8 oclock bus to Agra (a 5 1/2 hour trip) that included a minor accident, a chai stop and a minor detour around another crash. We arrivced in Agra and after a somewhat heated discussion with our rickshaw driver convinced hin htat we only wanted to go to the hotel of our choice not see his hotyel, his brothers shop or anything else...and not only that we did not want the cheap tour for the afternoon either (this conversation was continued after we got to the hotel amd I am pretty sure he will be waiting for us in the morning in case we change our minds!). We have selected a hotel with a rooftop restaurant quite close to the Taj so that we can sit and watch it over dinner. It is quite captivating and we ended up spending a few hours watching it from the restaurant thisafternoon. After some time we decided a walk to the nature garden may be good for our still stiff camel riding thighs. The touts here are very keen but not
Bus spectators
It doesn't take long to get a crowd here as relentless as other places (we were very suprised), I guess they get enough big spender tourists to see when Aussie backpackers are a waste of time. The garden was good and we also had a look at the river and the Taj from the side. We chatted with a number of policemen about cricket and found our way back for a "cuppa soup" and some pakora at a different restaurant.
