Hi everyone,
So I thought it would be easiest if I set up a blog so you guys can read about what I'm doing and where I'm going in Europe. I was planning on set the blog up once I got there, but here I am at home setting it up(when I'm supposed to be flying to Dussledorf) ...
I thought we were lucky when our flight from Columbus to Chicago was only delayed 20 minutes. We were all boarded and ready to go when there was a loud crunching noise from the front of the plane. Apparently the jetway got a mind of its own and moved when it was still attached to the plane. This cause the plane's door to get messed up, so we all had to get off the plane and see if there was another plane we could take that wasn't being used. Of course there wasn't, so our group of about 20 students got rescheduled to fly to Chicago the same time tomorrow, except now we have a 7 hour layover and we fly through London before we get to Dussledorf. Then we have a four hour bus ride from the airport to the chateau. So, we will be traveling for approximately 28 hours tomorrow....YAY
Tonight I'm just relaxing at home with my friend Laura, who is also a Tridelt and was on the cancled flight. After sitting around the airport from 11am until almost 6 its nice to be back home...until tomorrow at least!

congrats for finally arriving
After 8 hours at the airport Tuesday, the cancelled flt. d/t the broken plane door, then 30 more hours of travel time, lost luggage, house keys that don't work, little sleep, it's nice to know you are finally in Differdange! Hope you got all the headaches over with in the past few days so the rest of your semester and travel experiences can go much more smoothly! Love, Mom ps.
