Sorry if we have overwhelmed you with entries today we typed some yesterday but were unable to upload them!
After our pleasant experience with Jamil the rickshaw driver we decided to meet up with him again for a tour of his home town. He picked us up from our Hotel and took us to see many of the popular city sites. First we went to view the Palace (Rhajistans largest palace with 125 metre front) from across Lake Pitchola, also the palace in the lake (now a hotel) and the third largest hotel in the world across the lake. We drove across to the second lake and checked out a story of a battle on a hill. we drove across the wall of a third lake to our first hard sell at a textiles wholesaler (there is always a catch!). Then on to the princess gardens which have a whole series of gravity fed fountains and beautiful gardens. A trip to the tombs of the royal family, a local market and back past Jamil's house to town.
We finished our tour and went for a quiet beer on a rooftop to watch the sun go down. It was beautiful watching the pastel buildings slowly change colour under the setting sun. Then out of the blue Arnee said before we left he would like to give me a small present as a sign of his dedication and love. I think I almost fell off the roof. He took a small box out of his bag and with a tear in his eye asked me if I might wear the ring (a unique opal and white gold piece) as sign of our life time commitment and love. We were both crying by now, but of course I said yes.

Jamil
Ah, Jamil. When we were in Udaipur a couple of weeks back we were also lucky enough to get him. Good sense of humour and not pushy at all. Pretty much followed your exact itinerary and ended up buying art as well as a really fine kurta at the textiles place!

Engaging tradition
If you're looking to the father of the bride to provide the wedding breakfast it'll be baked beans on toast if you're lucky.
