Here I sit in the warmth and comfort of my parents cottage and I look outside at the foot of snow that has fallen. It is hard to believe that in just 15 days I will be making the journey to Bali, Indonesia that is currently 29 degrees with 84% humidity!!!!! I am sure I will look sweaty in every one of my pictures. I welcome all to join me on my journey. As I learned while in Europe keeping up a blog can be hard at times. I will do my best and try to update pictures as much as possible. This will mostly be a tool for my family and friends to keep in touch and a way for me to let them know I am alive. I am not much of a writter so excuse the spelling and grammar errors....my university degree is in the sciences not english haha.
So here is what I have planned so far. I am travelling for the first 7 weeks with my friend Stacey and then the last month I will be on my own. We are leaving January 6th, flying from Vancouver to Tokyo 10hrs, then Tokyo to Denpasar, Bali, Indonesia 8hrs. We have booked our first couple nights accomodation and from there it is all open for suggestion. Stacey and I have both travelled Europe and understand that very little of our travelling will be like it was in Europe. However I am looking forward to not have a million things that I need to see. This trip the itinerary is open and there really is nothing that either of us has to see. What is nice about that is there is no hurry to get anywhere and any recommendation from or opportunity with fellow travellers will be taken.
My "To do" list is slowly getting smaller and my excitement is quickly building.
Skip ahead three weeks......I am learning that I am bad at this blog thing...I have written a blog and will put it on here soon. It is on Stacey's computer and we need wireless to publish it. Just wanted to let everyone know that Stacey and I are doing fine and are in the Gilli Islands right now.
I will put up pictures and more info soon. Miss everyone. Talk soon.
