Yesterday we spent some more time in Kuala Lumpur. It felt mandatory to see the Petronas Twin Towers so the first stop was getting of at KLCC station. They only accept a limited number of visiters to go to the top every day so we will return here later. To quench our hunger we walked around the area, which is rather posh and businesslike, and came across a newly opened place called Quattro. We went to the section called Summer restaurant (the others respectively being: Spring lounge, Autumn club and Winter bar). Apart from some blue rice, finally we were able to get some beer! Considering the heat outside, it was just about time for a jug.

We wanted to do some shopping and went to the so called bazaar. We had expected a huge outdoor market-style bazaar, but it was actually just an huge indoor shopping mall. We spent the remainder of the afternoon here before heading off to Ampang Park to have dinner with one of our teachers and his family.

I will from now on avoid taking taxis as much as possible in KL. The traffic here is mind numbingly dense and we got stuck in traffic both on the way to the bazaar and on the way to the dinner. Getting stuck in traffic for 40 minutes for a ride supposed to take 5 is very frustrating. It's likely faster, cheaper and more reliable to try to get around town combining trains, monorails, buses and walking.
