Hello evryone sorry this took a while to write but here i go...

I went to Paris by car with my host mother Karin, her sister and also my third host mother Katey, Danielle who is my fourth host mother and her daughter Julie. I was really tired because the night before i was at a Reto party for the sixieme so i didnt get a lot of sleep. I ended up sleeping in the car all the way there. We got into paris and i saw the Eifel Tower for the first time in the distance. All i could think is that the city of Paris was beautiful, with all the leaves yellow, red and orange all falling ontp the streets. We finallly got to our destination which was the Chateau of Versailles. It was incredable, the most extrafigant castle that i ever been in. All the rooms were exquestite filled with art work and gold. You could only think how much time this would have taken to put soo much detail in the one place. My favorite part of all the castle was the Room of Mirros which was incredable and the Sun Kings room where the king invited his most favorite people to watch him get up every morning. THere was no privacy in the palace and everything was a public affair. I even heard that the King could go to the bathroom whereever he wanted and that his servants just cleaned it up after-disqusting.
When we were out of the palace we took a tour of the grounds on a little train. The grounds with all its statues were beautiful, and also all the huge trees that have been there for centuries. My favorite place on the grounds would have to be Marie-Antonitte;s little farm village that she had built to get away from public life from time to time. It was soo cute with all its little perfect buildings like from a little girls dream. There was also a lake with swans and cute little vegable gardens. You could see the she did not understand what life was like for real peasants who were starving to death. We got back to our car and drove to our hotel. We spent the whole day in Versailles and it was already getting dark and evryone was tired; We ate at the resturant by the Hotel which ended up to be Buffilo Bills funny enough-eating buffilo wings and other texan food in the middle of paris. But it was good and we had a lot of laughs just us girls. We all went to bed exshausted.
In the morning we woke pretty early to start our day. the first stop was the Eifel Tower but it took forever to find a parking spot all the cars were so squished together that it was incredable that they could even get out. The Eifel tower was really beautiful but we didnt go up it because the line was soo huge-Karin said that shes going to take me back to paris anyway to see the Eifel tower all lit up at night.
On the streets of Paris there is always tourists so you have a lot of people-usually black, who go around trying to sell souveniers, i bought a little Eifel tower from one of them. After that we took the metro to get to the Champs Elysee. It was incredable how many people were out tourists in comfortable wear and parisans dressed to the nines. The Champs Elysee was filled each side with all the most expensive shops in the world. We went into some of them and the least expensive thing i could find where little hankerchiefs for 100 euros. Its insane and all of us agreed its horrible that people are spening soo much on stupid disinger lables when people are starving and even dont have enough water all around the world. Anyways we enjoyed are walk and stopped for lunch at a sandwichrie for our daily baget. The Arc de Triomph was also amazing, constructed by Nipolean in his hight of power. When we were done all this it was about 5 ish so we went back to the car to drive home so we wouldnt arrive to late home cuz all of us had school or work the next day.
Even though it was a pretty short visit it was incredable and i thanked my hosts for the wonderful trip.
When we got back home we ate Frites-belgim fries, i perfer mine with a sauce called Andolase, anyways its true what they say, they are the best fries in the world-except for the spicy fries in sunpeaks. lol.
Anyways there you go, i hope evryone is doing well and is as happy as i am. Next weekend im going to Alsace france and i promise it wont take as long to write about it in my travel blog this time.
Love Becca
P.S still waiting for photos but il get them some day dont worry.
