Champagne in our room before the Bells
Hi everybody. Hope you have all recovered from the excesses of the festive season. We certainly saw the new year in in style. Having last left you to go and guzzle a bottle of champagne we then hit the town, met up with a really nice Australian lady and eventually saw the New Year in at that famous Thai bar - Angus O' Tooles!

The next day we spent quietly until the evening when we went to say our farewells to Daniel Finck and Paul and Di. Those of you who know him will not be surprised to hear that Paul was still drunk from the night before!

The second of January saw us depart Phuket and make our way here to Ko Samui. If truth be told the weather since we arrived has been pretty poor - still very warm but there has been torrential rain nearly every day. What better excuse to visit the local bars and meet like minded people. We have already met, drank and dined with two very nice couples - one from Ireland and the other from Vancouver (soon to move to LA.) We hope to meet up with both of them later

In the usual fashion!
on in our travels.

Last night we all went to a marvellous Thai Dance restaurant, where we had a very good Thai meal whilst watching some exotic Thai dance. We subsequently ended up in some Aussie theme pub, drinking wine and vodka - not mixed!

We have also met a great Scottish guy who runs a cafe where you get the best breakfast this side of the Scottish border! Including Black Pudding!

We are here for another two weeks and we are going to do lots of sight seeing and meet up with some friends (You know who you are) in a week or so.

For the first time since we left we have been less than impressed with our accommodation. So much so that we are moving out once our deposit runs out! Not so much because of the accommodaion more the rip-off attitude of the people that run it. We were moved 10 yards to a new bungalow on our third day - same type of bungalow but because it was nearer the beach the price went up by nearly 4 quid a night! To hell with that.

We are attaching some photos
