Firstly just wanted to say thanks for all the messages from you all - it´s great to hear from home and G says Thanks for all the birthday wishes!!

Sydney was fantastic, a really cool city to see. We spent our first night in circular quay having a meal by the harbour and we went back to our hotel via the ferry over the harbour. Our hotel was over in the north side of the city with an absolutly brilliant view of the bridge.

Graeme wanted to go surfing for his birthday so that´s what we did - up early and luckily had the weather. It was knackering, I don´t know what I was expecting but being washed backwards and forwards by what felt like 6 metre high waves was not what I call fun! Needless to say I lasted about 20 mins of a 2 hour session then spent the rest of the time lazing on the beach. G had a really good time though which was the main thing, although his neck and arms may never recover!! Totally different muscle usage!!

We spent the afternoon chilling around the city and then I had bought a jet speed boat ride thingy for him around the harbour, 270 degree turns in a speedboat and high speed braking was very exilarating but we did get very wet! We finished off the day with a meal in a 360 degree rotating restaurant - the food was the best we´d had all hols!

On the 4th Nov we did the bridge climb - thanks to Chris and John whose wedding money we spent on this. It was fantastic, a really brilliant thing to do and something we will always remember!!

Ouside Sydney we spent a day in the blue mountains. At first it didn´t seem as though the mist was going to clear over the three sisters (bit like what my Nan saw..... pretty much nothing!!) but we were lucky and it cleared at the last minute giving G some pretty good piccies. On the way we stopped at an aussie zoo with koalas and Kangaroos. We also spent a day in Hunter Valley wine tasting and going on a tour of a winery!

Gonna go and let G get some piccies done now. We´re currently in Santiago just about to leave for Quito but we´ll do the bit about Chile in the next entry!

Love D&G

Important to get the order right
Good to see that you remembered to do the wine tasting after the bridge with the breathalyzer warning.
