The past few days we have been at the Pt. Montara Lighthouse which a few miles south of San Francisco right off of Highway 1. The occasion was Lisa and Alex's wedding in addition to a concurrent New Year's eve party. There were about 50 people in attendance at the wedding with the majority staying at the hostel (the lighthouse is also a full-time hostel - not the actual lighthouse but the grounds). If anyone on the east coast has not heard, the weather has been rainy and stormy throughout our stay with mudslides and flooding but luckily not where we are staying - in general it's very humid and moist around here. Amazingly, yesterday afternoon the clouds disappeared and we saw some sun and blue skies; it stayed dry throught the ceremony, reception and remainder of the night.

Anyway, it was the perfect beginning to our trip to be able to spend the weekend with our close friends to celebrate Lisa and Alex's wedding. I'll try (this is my first attempt) to attach some pictures so you all can get a taste (my full picture library can be found on www.multiply.com).
