School is winding down and I only have THREE WEEKS left, plus a week of final exams. I can't believe how insanely fast this semester has gone by, which makes me incredibly happy that I decided to stay for a year. Needless to say, the next 4 weeks will be incredibly busy because I have 3 big papers, 2 little papers, 2 presentations, and then finals exams to do - CRAZY!!
On Wednesday I decided I needed a break from researching in front of the computer and went for a run across the street at this little track, which is basically in the middle of this big field. I wish I had my camera because it was the most amazing sunset: a full moon had already risen and the hot pinks and dark purples from the sunset reflected onto the clouds and it looked like a postcard. I wish I had my camera with me!! And since I don't run often (maybe once a year.... haha) I don't think I'll have any pictures to post anytime soon.
Thursday I stayed in to do homework instead of going to Uni Bar (where everyone usually heads on Thursday), but ended up
Pontoon Bar on the Harbour
My Aussie friend Dave and I. hanging out with my friend Andy for a bit. He took me to a place in St. Ives called Max Brenner, which is the most amazing chocolate cafe. EVER. Mom, you would die. Apparently they have them in NYC, too. Anyways, had the best hot chocolate in my LIFE (a mint hot chocolate), it was SO good, I don't even have words to desribe it. And we had amazing dark/milk chocolate fondue too. It was seriously like chocolate heaven. Yum.
Friday my friend Dave from Melbourne was in Sydney on business, so he came over and we got some chips, dip, and beer and sat outside in the gorgeous weather and hung out, then headed into the city later that night. We met up with my friend Gavin, from England, and my roommate Akhil showed up as well. It was heaps of fun and we didn't get back til 3am, seeing as we missed a bus by about 5 minutes!!
Saturday was supposed to be an essay-writing day, but around 12:30 my friend Mike called me and told me to get ready because I was going to the beach with him and my Aussie friend, Taz. So, after
Manly
I didn't take this picture, but here's an idea of where we were on Saturday :) some peer pressuring, I gave in and we, along with 2 other girls, headed to Manly. Of course I didn't have my camera with me, which still makes me mad, because the drive to Manly, and the beach/town itself are AMAZING. I want to live there. Forever. Anyways, we met up with 3 other guys (2 Aussies & a Canadian) and went CLIFF JUMPING 😊 We had to climb down to this little area that had a sign saying it was prohibited, so I figured I was going to die. There were a ton of people down there jumping and no one was dying, so I figured it must be okay. It was only a little over 20 feet high, which doesn't sound like a lot, but wow, when you're standing over the edge you feel like it's insanely high. So, knowing that I have to take every opportunity I get, I jumped (and screamed the whole way down). It was awesome... until you hit the water which was FREEZING COLD. Like ice water. So cold. But totally worth it - it was a blast! After that, we just went and chilled on the beach by the cliffs and had
Manly Beach
Again, I didn't take this pic, but just pretend I did :) fun. The beach was pretty small but the water was crystal clear. I definitely want to take Erin there when she comes to visit in December/January 😊 Then Saturday night Taz's house had a little party that I went to for a little bit but was pretty tired and headed out semi-early.
Now it's Sunday morning and I'm locking myself in my room to do homework all day! I wish I had taken my camera to Manly... but Taz let me take some pictures with his camera. For now, I will just steal some off of google so you know kind of where we were 😊 Hope everyone had a GREAT weekend!!! Love Love Love.

chocolate sounds great, I will compare it with the Swiss and our organic chocolate cafe here when I come. Around the world chocolate tasting!!!! I'm all for stepping out of your comfort zone but "prohibited" signs by cliffs are there for a reason. Am glad you are ok. Good luck with the finals. love you.........
