Warning!
Enter this blog at your own risk! I would like to thank everyone who e-mailed me their support after reading my last blog entry. I came across a quote that pretty much sums it all up, and as a bonus, it's far more eloquent than I could ever write:
When we honestly ask ourselves which person in our lives mean the most to us, we often find that it is those who, instead of giving advice, solutions, or cures, have chosen rather to share our pain and touch our wounds with a warm and tender hand. The friend who can be silent with us in a moment of despair or confusion, who can stay with us in an hour of grief and bereavement, who can tolerate not knowing, not curing, not healing and face with us the reality of our powerlessness, that is a friend who cares. - Henri Nouwen,
Out of Solitude Everyone who has written me lately has proven Nouwen's words, and for that, I am extremely grateful. And while we're on the topic, I'd like to thank everyone for sharing this voyage with me.
This adventure seems to be the result of a cumulation of events, and my experiences with family and
friends have obviously played a huge role in me being where I am, doing what I'm doing at this stage in life.
Here are a few photos from Bali. I don't really have any anecdotes to go along with them, so I apologize! Other than cheesy captions, I'll leave it up to your imagination to interpret the splendor of Indonesia. As you'll see, Bali is an island bursting (actually...overflowing) with the colours, textures and sounds of life. It could not have come at a better time.
I would like to once again give photo credit to Cody Reed, a talented photographer who isn't afraid (like I am) to really get into the action to get that memorable shot!
Selamat Minum, (Cheers!)
