Wellington to Picton

Bloody hell I had no idea it can get so windy, I had trouble standing on the deck, and I'd like to add I am not the lightest person....

Picton - horrid horrid weather, wet and cold. I have cancelled swimming with the dolphins as I did not fancy freezing my bits off and decided to go anticlockwise around the island.
I arrived late afternoon in Picton, hence I knew I need to find somewhere I could spend the night soon. I managed to stay on one lookout, looking over the Marlborough Sounds, only there was not much to see, hopefully i will have same luck as in Tongariro and it will clear out by the morning... well that is if I don't get blown away...
Luck is on my side.... I saw the sun coming up over the Sounds, amazing - i have found heaven on earth....

I decided to try to drive all the way to the French Pass, it was a hard and challenging drive, it looked like a road to nowhere.... but the views where breathtaking...I went for few little walks.... and on the way back I crashed Alfred... ops... going to fast on the gravel road in neutral into a turn.. I was asking for it, luckily there was a rock and no drop down... 'Alfred's eye' obtained even more damage, which was rather lucky for me as I hope they will not notice another little scratch and will think it is the same one as when they rented Alfred to me....


Z Wellingtonu (S) do Pictonu (J)

Ty blaho, takovy vychr, mela jsem co delat aby me to neodneslo z paluby, a rada bych podotkla, ze nejsem nejake pericko...

Picton (J- Jih), hnus, hnus pocasi, mokro a zima. Zrusila jsem plavani z delfiny, protoze neminim riskovat zachranu pozarniku, az me by me museli vysekavat z ledu.
Protoze jsem priplula do Pictonu odpoledne, vedela jsem ze musim najit co nejdrive mistecko na prespani. Nasla jsem jednu vyhlidku, ikdyz nebylo velmi na co hledet... ale doufala jsem, ze budu mit stesti jak v Tongariro a do rana se vyjasni.
A Stestena byla se mnou, rano jsem videla vychod slunce nad Marlborough Sounds, nadhera... nasla jsem raj na zemi :o)

Rozhodla jsem se, ze pojedu k French Pass, byla to docela narocna cesta, vypadala tak jak cesta do nikam... ale vyhled byl neskutecne nadherny.... sla jsem na par kratsich prochazek... a cestou zpatky jsem nabourala Alfreda.... jela jsem prilis rychle, na sterku v neutrale do zatacky.... koledovala jsem si o to, nastesti jsem narazila do skaly misto abych zuchla dolu s utesu... 'Alfredovo ocicko' obdrzelo jeste vetsi modrinu, pouze jsem doufala, ze si toho nevsimnou az ho budu vracet a budou si myslet, ze je to ta sama prasklina kdyz me ho pronajali....
