Got up and went to bakery for breakfast - nice and cheap. Ate on harbour looking at view - feels like one of cleanest places in HK. Can feel really chlostrophobic in city and gets no breeze because all buildings are like a really good version of windbreakers you use on bridlington beach. Nice breeze on harbour. Went to Avenue of Stars after that; it's like a chinese version of Hollywood Boulevard, with all famous handprints of actors/actresses on the floor, in stars.

Then we went to Kowloon Park. Is so hot here, but not "excited Im gonna get a tan hot" but "this is rubbish, muggy hot". Desperate for a laydown on some grass, but park is covered in concrete with added insult of water fountains and ponds that can't touch. Found a scrap of grass to sit on, but chinese people were either staring at or taking pictures of us, so take it that sitting on grass is not treally done here!

Trekked about town then to try and find famous Wong Tai Sin Temple. Wasn't on map, but we got quite cocky and thought we could find it anyway - obviously we didn't...we are blonde (well

On the "Avenue of Stars"
partly!) Caved in and got tube again. Temple was really interesting when we found it though and had a cool 'Garden of Wishes' with turtles (or maybe tortoises, I don't know the difference).

Went back after that and had another cheap lunch (crisp sandwich). No salt and vinegar crisps over here though, so had to get pizza flavour...yes, pizza flavour. Not sure how to comment on them...think I'm going to call them a chinese delicacy better left in HK.

Later that night went to watch full show of Symphomny of Lights, because missed some yesterday. Tried to get a boat out to watch them, but ended up on a ferry over to HK island - we're not very good with the transport thing! Turns out, don't even think there is a boat you can get to watch lights! Found spaghetti place for T after though, so at least didn't have to battle with chopsticks!

Made a plan and decided to leave Kowloon and try HK island for next 2 days, then Lantau island for 2 days after that, so we'll see...

A gym for old people...in the middle of a park...not kidding, it actually was a gym for pensioners!

Not sure what it's called - some kind of illuminated water scene that reminded me of Blackpool illuminations

Apparently one of the main streets that contains both our hostel...the lovely Ocean view and a combination of Prada, Gucci and Tiffany diamond shops - what a combination!

Hi There
Hi Nat and Debs Looks fantastic - reminds me of when I went - hot, muggy and overcrowded, couldn't wait to leave and get back to Singapore which I fell in love with. Keep calling at your Mum's and she is fine and dogs are fine. I suspect they will all be well spoilt by the time you get back. I told your Mum not to feel stuck for anything just to give me a shout, especially if she need taking anywhere by car. Meanwhile, weather here has gone back to brilliant - hot and sunny all day every day, not a cloud in the sky, everyone basking around in bikinis and speedo swimming trunks. Pity you are missing it xxxx Take care and STAY T O G E V V E R !!!!! xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
