This is the furthest I have ever been from my home, and the longest I have been away from family and friends. I greatly enjoy the comments from those who visit this page, it helps ease the loneliness I feel. Please, if you are reading this, leave a comment!

Hi David! Cheer up, buckaroo. I can't wait to hear more about what you have seen once you get back. I'm still in Puerto Rico and it's really humid. It's a beautiful island though. Yesterday we moved from the north (San Juan) to the south and are now in Ponce. Talk to you soon!

the house speaks
this is the furthest your home has been from you, but alas i am well as my grass has been finely manicured, (except for that tomato plant that is planning its seige on the me and the yard), your children fill each room with their giggles and squeals and teenage laughter. and your capable wife is keeping me in tip top shape as she anxiously awaits your return. i await your return too because i miss those diagnol lines that you put in the grass. these people here are merely amateurs! see you soon. love, your home

obviously this has been the trip of a lifetime. I think all of us have noted a change in you because of what you've seen and done. But now we're looking forward to your safe return. Your family will be here soon. We'll send more messages tomorrow. Love Mom

Since you started your trip, I've found myself in anticipation of seeing where your venture would take you for each day. To know that it's almost over is bittersweet. We'll miss the reports, but look forward to your safe return home.

Hey David, Sorry to hear you're lonely. Just remember this is the trip of a lifetime that you've been looking forward to for such a long time. I've enjoyed all of the updates and photos. The temple has been my favorite. We've been on vacation so I'm just getting this one. We are praying for your safe return. I'll be sure to give the girls extra hugs and kisses until you get back. Shotz p.s. Keep an eye out for some nice Biblical baby names :-).

Living Vicariously
David, You are certainly far from home. In a world far different from home. However, we have certainly appreciated this blog that allows us to travel vicariously through you to lands and places that bring the bible to life. In a few days you'll be home, back to familiar places and people, but for now we appreciate the opportunity to see the world through your eyes. We're there with you in spirit!

David, thank you so much for sharing your trip with us. If I am so intrigued by just seeing the pics and reading the comments, being there must be fantastic. We are looking forward to welcoming you home. I hope we will be able to look you in the face, since you just came back from the "Holy Land".
