Noosa - Quimby and Matty's Wedding

27th - 1st December 2008 - Noosa:

We arrived in Noosa on Thursday evening under a cloud of uncertainty regarding our onward flights to Bangkok and beyond.

After a 2 hour shuttle we arrive in Noosa greeted by Dad and Matty and head over to the North Shore. The resort was set in a national park so was very beautiful surroundings with tame kangaroo's bouncing around and joining us at our table outside our room everytime a meal was on offer.

On Friday we did a walk around Noosa heads to the fairy pools. THese little pools were rock pools where you could swim with a majestic view of the Pacific ocean. Lush!! We made plenty of noise at the local RSL on Friday night supporting the Pheonix to a stellar victory.

The wedding on Saturday was fantastic. Quimby looked great and so did Matty. We had a fun time at the ceremony before sweating it out on a humid night at the reception with the odd bit of dancing. Plenty of wining and dining, prehaps a wee bit too much wining for me as I was the first too bad. I blame it on the food!!

Anyway our flight on Sunday to Bangkok was cancelled. So we had a bit of a stressful night and morning at the airport as we tried to re-route our way to India. Thankfully, with some helpful staff at the airport we managed to get a flight to Singapore and then on to India with no additional cost. So we actually we now get an extra day in India.

So next entry will be from India.

Hey guys glad your trips going well. Shame about Thailand but good that you were able to change your flights without too much hassle. Good thing you guys aren't going near Mumbai as well, that would just be too gutting. Looking forward to seeing your photos when you get to India.
