Crazy Los Angeles

Hey Everybody!! So we're in Los Angeles. We arrived here on Wednesday night, went for some amazing sushi, and then prepared ourselves for some busy busy days ahead!

On Thursday we went to Disneyland!!! Unfortunately, we do not have any pictures of Disneyland because we didn't feel safe taking the camera on all of the rides. Little did we know there were pouches on each ride to keep your camera safe! Oh well... We also checked out California Adventure, which was great. They have an excellent rollercoaster there. We also went on a ferris wheel where the cars moved while you were up in the air, and Ashley got slightly ill. Ashley + rocking motion = not so good (Case in point: DEEP SEA FISHING!!) Why do I keep torturing myself????? Pirates of the Caribbean and Space Mountain are still our favourite rides! Even as we get older SOME things never change. Both Disneyland and Cali Adventure were pretty dead, so the maximum we waited for rides was about 15 mins, which is great for such normally busy places. After walking around for approx 10 hours, we headed home. (First we went for Hamburger Habit, which is the local burger place in West LA, they were voted the best burgers in South Cali, very very yummy!)

Friday was Universal Day. We learnt our lesson with the camera on Thursday, so we got LOTS of pictures at Universal. Our favourite ride was by far, The Mummy. They even let us stay on for another ride. We also went on a Studio Tour, where we got to see actual studios and sets where movies and TV shows are made. We got to see the set of Desperate Housewives, Jaws, The Fast and the Furious, and many Western movies. We also got to see the worlds largest blue screen. After leaving Universal Studios, we came home, got ready, and then went for Korean BBQ at this great place called Jian BBQ. They bring you raw meat to the table, and you cook it yourself in a smokeless grill thats built in to the middle of your table. It was AWESOME!

Saturday we headed over to Malibu to check out the big houses and fast cars. There were also some beautiful beaches. We then headed over to Venice Beach (aka the craziest place either of us have ever seen.) Here is a list of some things we seen at Venice Beach: A guy with a sign that said F*ck You on it walking down the boardwalk, a guy asking for money to buy pot, a guy in motorcycle gear holding a flag riding a bicycle while yelling, a man getting chased by the police, and medicinal marijuana being sold EVERYWHERE. It was quite a scene. We hung out there for most of the day. On Saturday night, we headed back to the same sushi place we went to on Wednesday night, it was so yummy! We managed to eat $80 worth of sushi, and were so full.

Now we're just preparing to head to the Cook Islands tomorrow night. Drinking Cook Island local beer and packing our suitcases. We will try and update from the Cook Islands, but the internet connections there are scarce. We appreciate everyones comments, and thank you all so much for reading about our adventures!
