Manly Beach
Kiwi connection in Sydney 31 degrees C, Sun is up, Surf is up and millions of people everywhere
We drove 25 kms from St Ives to Manly to catch up with Louise and her man for brunch. Its was very cool as the weather was just Stunningly hot, so much so we even had to buy some sunscreen from the chemist.
Brunch was good and Lou and BF was cool.
We caught a Ferry from Manly to Circular Quay so that we can go shopping for a jeans for Vix.
Vix got some jeans from the Pitt Street Mall. Service was fantastic and we ran back to catch the ferry back to Manly.
Caught up with Daniel my cuz at a sushi bar in the city and then we were off back to St Ives for the sleep as we had a 4.30am start the next day. The Sydney Half marathon!!!
Only one word can describe the Sydney Half Marathon - PAIN!!! We rose at 4:30am and by the time the gun was shot to commence the start, it was already sub-20 temperatures. Running over the Sydney Harbour Bridge was pretty awesome as the entire bridge was closed for 25,000
runners!!! Neither of us achieved our goal finishing times, but both agree the experience was worth it. However making it to the finish was a MISSION! Both of us had cramps for the last few kilometres - Jan in both his quads and Vicky in both her calves. But we ran and conquered and were even given a medal at the end - ha hey!!!
Our mission for the remainder of our time in Sydney is to blob 😊
Love

Emptied the tank
the 21 km was HARD work! Honestly the tank was definately emptied. Cluffy, I think you should do a few more runs a week before the Auckland. I felt that the 3 runs a week was not enough. And Yes, I finished the run Cluffy ; )
