Edit Blog Post
Okay, so I'm going to try this travel blog one more time. I don't know how long it will last, but I'll try to keep you posted on the many different destinations that I get to. Here's a quick run down of my itinerary for the next 7 months.
Today I'm flying to Italy. Actually, in about an hour and a half and technically I'm flying to Germany first, with a two hour tour of all the things Frankfurt's airport has to offer, and then I head to Italy. Venice to be exact. That's a grand total of 12 hours of flight time, 10.5 of which are all one leg. Yay me.
And once in Venice I'm going straight to the ship. The ms Zuiderdam to be more specific. We spend two months cruising through the Aegean and Mediterranean stopping in Croatia, Greece, Turkey, Spain, Portugal, and of course, Italy. There are a few ports in each country that we get to. Then in November, we cross the Atlantic over to the Southern Caribbean where we do runs out of Ft. Lauderdale going to Panama, Costa Rica, Aruba, Curacao, and Half Moon Cay. Then at the beginning of December I am transferring to the ms Amsterdam. I get off the Zuiderdam in Costa Rica and I fly to Peru to meet the ship there. Then we spend 4 months traveling around the tip of South America cruising by Antarctica and hitting Chile, Argentina, Uruguay, and Brazil. In April the ship starts heading North along the west side of Central America, so we stop at a few places in Mexico, and I sign-off when we get to San Diego.
Needless to say, it will be quite a geography lesson, and probably some language lessons as well. And somehow amongst all this travel, I'm supposed to get some work done. So hopefully I can stay motivated and actually maintain a work ethic despite all the once in a lifetime distractions.
Ciao. Catch ya on the flipside.
