At 6am we headed for our first stop point...the geysers. Being a little sceptical we were expecting to see a couple of puffs of smoke coming out of the ground...we couldnt have been more wrong! They were amazing! Huge great continuous blasts of egg smelling smoke coming out of the ground. All of us were in awe! Then we headed to probably the best part of the trip..the hot spring! Although it was freezing we took no time at all in stripping down to our swimming gear and jumping in...it was like heaven! Sadly we dont have photos but we have some being emailed so will add them later. It was a bizarre concept sitting in a natural pool of hot water in the middle of a freezing desert at 8am in the morning! Thankfully it didn´t smell of eggs! Getting out was a bit of a trauma (it was still freezing) and we could have happily stayed there all day!

Next to the thermal pool was a kind of hall that we had breakfast in before heading to Laguna Verde..our final stop before the Chilean border.

It was again really spectacular and is just under a volcano. After some time taking photos we were then driven to the border, and after a farewell to Juan and amelie we got onto a bus that would take us across the border in to Chile.

The whole trip was a brilliant end to our time in Bolivia. We didnt expect to be leaving Bolivia quite so soon but due to increasing amounts of political instability we decided it was probably a good time to leave. A couple of the towns we had hoped to visit are being blockaded and a number of protests are going on.

However, Bolivia is amazing country with an incredible number of different landscapes and we only saw a small part! We would definately recommend it!
