We made it!!

After 10 hours of flying, four screaming children, two kicking children and one very cool chap from foggy old London Kaitlyn and I finally made it back to Scotland. Of course the adventure was far from over when the cabbie dropped us off on one, if not the dodgiest streets in Edinburgh. Arcadia, being the geniuses that they are failed to:

1. Unlock the gate so we could get in
2. Explain which of the creepy doorways lead to the registration room and not the Youth hostel full of German backpackers
3. Fail to inform us that we would all be completely alone in our separate flats for two weeks before anyone else would even show up (23 interns and only are in the same flat)
4. That we had a homestay OOPPS!

Anyway all that chaos aside we have settled in to the College Wynd student flats which happens to be across the street from Siglo Burlesque Bar & Club.

The last couple of days we have been exploring the city of Glasgow with our homestay family. John and Maggie and there two kids Staurt and Kristy (and dog Kell) were absolutely wonderful and made us very much at home and part of the family. The weather was good Scottish weather, rain sun and hail all at once (rain and hail falling down and only to the slight like)

Our classes start on Monday and then come October we will be reporting to Parliament to start our jobs as interns (or slaves) which ever term you prefer.

Cheers friends
Pictures will follow shortly (we hope)

Peace love and harmony
I'm so proud of you. Keep dry and warm. Stay grateful for all your opportunities, start each day with hope and zeal. Be positive always, and good things will continue to come your way.My Irish eyes are smiling upon you. P.S. I'm starting to think that you are Grandpa McNeil born to finish his dreams of being in Scotland. I think i have too much time on my hands. You could be reincarnated though, you old spirit.

How's the cheese?
I hope you are having a wonderful time. When Liz, Leenie,Jack and I were there, we went to a Farmer's Market at the base of the hill with Edinburgh Castle above us. Great food, great cheese! I wish we could visit this time, but it probably won't happen unless we sell Papa's house. I bet the Christmas decorations will be wonderful. What do they do for Halloween and Thanksgiving? Love you lots, Auntie K
