Tootsies Wednesday 3 September
Haning with Anthony and RachelFor all those who offered to send vegemite after mine was rudely removed from my possession by security at Sydney international, THANKYOU! But it's all good I got some more duty free and managed to get through LA so for now I'm covered, although if the aussie invasion continues at the backpackers I may run out sooner than expected so I'll keep you all posted.
The backpackers is a blast most people sleep by day and party by night so it has been bar hopping on Broadway almost every night Tootsies is a popular hang out and Anthony Orio is FANTASTIC! Jen the action pic is Anthony singing your fave song whilst dancing on the bar and he wasn't even at Coyote Ugly.
Wednesday night we got the party started at Tootsies, then headed to Paradise Park for a game of Beer skittle ping pong......now the boys may see it differently but I say the girls kicked butt!!!! We met a guy from Malibu on Wedensday night unfortunately Hong it wasnt the Malibu Man I'm supposed to be tracking down. Last stop ws the stage for dancing and more drinking.

Strategise all you like boys the girls are gonna kick your butt. and saw one of my favourite bands the Mulch Brothers. Mark and Nick had been tailgating or mulchgating as they call it at the Vandy V South Carolina game apparently Vandy won in an upset. Footy was a big deal yesterday because it was the first game of the NFL season so there were kick-off parties happening all around town.
The crowd at the backpackers is fun, There is a guy from Melbourne and one form New Jersey who are staying here long-term and then plenty of others coming and going especially with all the hurricanes people are coming up from the south. New Orleans still has no power.
Yesterday was Jack day I went to the Jack Daniels Distillery with another Aussie girl (April) two english girls (Jenny and Rachel) and our driver was our very own Gentleman Jack an English Barriister from Birmingham It was a fantastic tour! The stats on the number of barrel houses they have is incredible something like 77 barrell houses and each one holds 10's of thousnads of barrels. Each barrel gets just over 200 bottles of Jack and that one location supplies Jack Daniels to the entire world!

Not quite the malibu man I'm looking for spent Labour day doing some serious retail therapy....National public holiday and the malls were open til 9pm......I love this country!!! It took me four and half hours to do one lap of the mall. I think the only store I didn't go into was the boot store........Ok you can all get up off the floor now!!!! The halloween store was was AUSSOME! I spent ages in there just checking everything out They had two massive walls of costumes, If I score an invite to a hallowee party I found the perfect costume.They also had a fantastic black bowl with a spider web on it to put your candy in for the trick-or-treaters.
After reading all this I know mum is sitting there saying stop spending money and find a job! It hasn't all been parties and fun. I have been running around organising things, a PO box, I applied for my Social security number and checked out the drivers licence situation. I put my name down at a recruitment agency and went looking at cars. The wheels of bureaucracy are still moving slowly and there is not much I can do until the social security number comes in so

The great debate is Joe really old enough to be in the bars.....ummmmm Nope he's only 20 for now I'll stick with getting up at midday and bar hoppoing on broadway til 4am.
