Dave has arrived!! safe and sound after 4 partytime nights spent in Hong Kong. I met him at the airport Thursday evening and instantly went into tourguide mode! Not sure if it was appreciated!

So onto Friday which was my last day at the gallery, i cannot believe how quickly it has gone. I loved working there and wish it had been for longer!

Saturday was market day and Dave and I headed to Glebe followed by Paddington market. Both fantastic, full of lots of stuff I wanted to buy and I had a good job of doing just that. Dave had also managed to locate the only antiques centre in sydney so we swung by there too!
Sunday we went down to the rocks and I still dont know how it happened but Dave persuaded me that we should go to 'Susannah Place', a row of 4 mid nineteenth century terraces, which is now a small museum. At this point Dave would like me to say that the houses have been converted into a museum of social history, demonstrating how people lived their lives in the 1840s right through to the 1960s.

I lost a valuable hour of my life.

Sydney Aquarium is open till 10pm so we spent the evening there, fruitlessly searching for the platypus but seeing lots of other aquatic wildlife you would expect to see, including nemo and friends. All good fun!

Over the past few days Dave and I have sampled some of the many fine eateries in Newtown, often with the lovely Hayley and Barrry, all food has been fabulously tasty and always followed by a trip to gelatissmo, gelato, not technically an ice cream but pretty much, and oh so good.
