On a recommendation of another Aussie we meet at breakfast we headed out to Stanley which is on the other side of Hong Kong Island. The hotel suggested that we get a taxi there as that was easiest but in true Michelle and Graham style we opted to do things the hard way 😊.

The trip over via mass transit was actually very easy and ended up about 1/10th the price. Stanley was a direct contrast to HK Central. Right on the coast there were only a few hi-rises and lovely coastal views. The famous Stanley market was mostly filled with junk but Michelle did manage to find some very nice silk scarves for about $3 each - score.

We then had lunch in Murry house which used to be the central HK bank building but was taken apart and moved to Stanley when the new bank was built. Back to the hotel for a shower and a quick rest before getting a cab to the airport for our flight to Dubai.

HK airport is something to see it is truly massive there is no other way to describe it. Massive and very efficient. We had to catch a special unmanned subway between customs and our gate which was cool. Everything just works in HK so smoothly even when our gate changed at the last minute we still managed to get back to the other side of the airport in remarkably good time.

Managed to skype mum and dad from the airport as there is free wi-fi and power everywhere. now off to Dubai.
