Hi again everyone! We have made it back to England safely and are now back in our house in Aylesbury. Overall our trip over the pond was pleasant. Our original flights back were suppose to be on Saturday night, leaving Toronto at 10:25pm. However, due to Zoom Airlines shutting down, we had to find new flights back. Thankfully we were able to book flights out of Buffalo, NY with United Airlines leaving shortly after 7pm. Mom and Ted drove us to Buffalo and we stopped for a fantastic lunch at the Olive Garden. The food was sooo good! Once we got to the airport and mom and Bri cried quite a few tears and we said our goodbyes, the two of us explored the boring amenities that the Buffalo airport has to offer and then we sat down and watched a movie on Will's laptop.
We first had to fly from Buffalo to Washington, DC. The flight was approximately 45 minutes and there were only 28 people on this flight. We flew in a 50-seater jet! The plane was so small and it made us a bit nervous, but it was pretty neat! We then had a one hour stopover in Washington. So, we each grabbed a latte at Starbucks and then took our seats in the waiting area. To pass the time we started goofing around with a camera program on Will's mac...hence the crazy pictures! Who knew that sitting in the waiting area could be so fun?! 😊 Our flight from Washington to London was approximately 7 hours. We had fantastic seats in the Economy Plus section so we had lots of leg room and Bri's meal was the best airplane meal she's ever had! We tried to get some sleep on the plane since it was an overnight flight but unfortnately we weren't that successfull and each of us slept for only 2 hours. Once we landed at London Heathrow and got through customs, we took the tube to central London, followed by the train back to Aylesbury. We've fully unpacked and have gone grocery shopping and then tomorrow morning it's time to go back to work! It's now 9pm and we're both knackered and ready for a good night's rest. Take care and we'll be in touch!
