Deciding to mountain bike down a 65km stretch of ´road´ from 4800m with an 800m drop on one sometimes both sides was not a decision we took lightly but one of those things we decided we had to do whilst in Bolivia....lets face it your not going to be allowed to do it in the UK! We had a really good guide and went through an agency that had been recommended so perhaps a little foolishly decided it would probably be ok! And thankfully it was! It was possibly one of the most terrifying but one of the most brilliant things we have ever done! However not something I would never do again!

I was the one that wanted to do it and after banging on and on Seamus finally agreed! However when it actually came to it it became very clear that I was the one that was shi··ing myself whilst Seamus ´the Demon´Clandillon went flying off ahead! I almost chickened out and got on the bus that was following us , but in the end through gritted teeth and a lot of talking to myself I did it! Looking only ahead and not to the side was definately the best advice we were given as was remembering to get off on the right hand side of the bike each time we stopped!

Once we were safely at the bottom, we got to have lunch (all you can eat) at a wildlife refuge in the jungle, before returning back to La Paz on a 3hour bus journey!
