The crust.... The crust.... The crust....

Hehe... Looks good yeah?
Making Cake as Easy as ABC was my speech to Farlim Toastmasters Club. It inspired one member Yee Lin to make a buttercake! Hehe....

Next, I tried Cheesecake and after making it around 6 times, I trained two new 'Chefs' Jenny and Selina. Both have since graduated and made cheesecakes for their loved ones.

What next? Well, why not Egg Tart? Healthy and good to eat. Plus, if one day I ever wanted to open a bakery, I needed to bake them anyway, right? Haha...

With that, I downloaded a few recipes. Looked through and decided on one which I feel should be successful.

Two processes are involved. One - the crust (external layer). Two - The Filling (Egg custard).

The crust was a little hard. You need to mix all the ingredients, work it into a dough and then leave them for a while. After 15 minutes, press the dough (break into small pieces) into a egg tart mould. After that, bake it for 20-30 minutes.

THe Filling is even more easier. Boil sugar and water together, then pour into the eggs which has been stirred. I repeat, stir and not to beat the

eggs. This is if you want your egg tart surface to look good...

After that, pour this filling into the crust and put them into the oven. After 30-40 minutes, your egg tarts are ready!!

How does it look? Look at the photos.....

I must admit the steps seemed easy but from when I started till when the egg tarts can be eaten, it took 2.5 hours. I am very sure, the next time would be 1.5 hours only.

Anyone wanting to learn? Ready to share, anytime...... What's next?
