Arrived in LA (aka another world) on Friday with no problems though I pretty much wanted to die after staying up all night packing and not one but three gate changes in Atlanta...my best friend Tiona picked me up and I haven't seen her since her wedding back in May so we spent the day catching up and doing a bit of driving and walking around. It is 75 and sunny here. Maybe I should stay here and skip Fiji since it's supposed to rain the whole time I'm there, ugh. So much for all that extra working out to look good in my bathing suit!!

I cannot help but think of shows like "The OC" and "Laguna Beach" now that I am here in LA; massive houses, super rich kids; overall nonsense....I don't know how you break into the real estate market here but someone needs to clue me in. We saw this house while walking in Manhattan Beach and let's just say it is my future house. Now I just need to come up with about $8.5 million dollars.

Today we slept in, talked more, and then went to see Pride and Prejudice. Tiona's husband Trent doesn't mind chick flicks normally but puts his foot down with Jane Austen and it's going to be a long time until I have a best girlfriend to go see a movie with. Needless to say, we thoroughly enjoyed it and it was a trip down memory lane, remembering all the movies we used to love watching in high school. Afterwards went shopping for all the stuff I forgot and I got to partake in an In-N-Out burger; a fine California establishment indeed.

Sadly, it's time for me to leave for the airport in just a little bit. I really enjoyed seeing Tiona and Trent and a bit of LA and I hope it's not another ten years before I get out here again (I hadn't been here since I was little).

Thanks guys; I'll miss you!

Next update from the southern hemisphere!

House
Will you have a guest room for me? You should be able to afford that when you are a rich and powerful attorney. We miss you
