It was great staying with my Uncle Tom and his family for a couple weeks in Chiriqui province. I met Alan here and boarded Wallaby Creek to help take it through the Panama Canal with the others.... the beginning of the Pacific voyage. It seems like a very long time ago.

I was pretty excited about entering the Canal, this was on another small yacht that we were helping through the canal. You go through the 1st 2 set of locks the first night, then moore up in Lake Gatun, then do the rest the next day. It's pretty amazing.

This ship fills the entire lock to within a couple feet on all side. It carries thousands of cars to/from Asia (Japan) and the rest of the world.

The causeway in Panama City is along the mouth to the canal, lots of boats and nice scenery. Tom and I thought we'd grab a beer.

Panama seems like is the only country that receives the inmigrants in a friendly manner.
