Well we're sweating......
We arrived very late in the evening very tired from the long long trip. Kims eyes were actually red! Walking down Khoa San Road that tired was a bit overwhelming, we both were wishing for own beds at home at that point.
After sleeping for 12 hours we felt slightly better. In the morning we went on a boat trip down the main river in Bangkok which was bumpy. Then we went on the sky rail and saw the whole of the city from above. After that we went round the main city square called Siam Square. It was awful and very very smoggy, could hardly breath in the air without getting a lung full of fumes. Siam square is so commersalised, everything western was there, bit boring really. Had lunch from the food market, loads of little stalls down a ally. We were the only westerners there but were made really welcome.
Had a quiet night down Khoa San Rd which isn't quite as daunting after some sleep. Meet loads of people so the quiet night wasn't so quiet anymore so 5 hours and a few beers later went to bed.
Went to the
Kim at Grand Palace
Has Kim turned Hippie already?????? Grand Palace today which was amazing. The temples and shrines were just so detailed and shiny! Take a look at the pics and hopefully you'll see how beautiful they are. We then went to see the Buddahs that are all around Bangkok by "tuk tuk". Took us to see the 1000's of catfish that swarm round a pier (disgusting in Kims opinion!). Booked train/bus/boat down to koh samui on sunday where we going to stay for a week then on to Ko phangan for a week and full moon party.

jelous.... VERY jelous!
Sounds fantastic! Its still a bit surreal that you're actually there!... Still seems like you will be home in a couple of weeks complaining that your suntan is fading!... Pictures are great, apart from the bug eating thing... was there really any need for that Trev!? Kim, just make sure you dont get drunk and snog him! Blah! Trev, I'm feeling the need for you to grow a goatee! Rekon you could get it atleast down to your belly button by the time you come home. And for you Kim I think we need photo's of you in some traditional Thai dress, not sure what they wear, but it will be fun... perhaps Trev could wear a skirt!? Anyway, hope you cary on having a wicked time! MORE PHOTO'S PLEASE! Love Rach, xx
